This month, our featured resident reminds us of the enduring power of passion and perseverance. First gracing our cover in 2021 for her whimsical, one-of-a-kind paintings, Phyllis Hoffman continues to inspire. Now in her 80s, she has published her first children’s book, ‘Adventures of Amy: A Secret Cave’, a heartfelt story illustrated with her own artwork, encouraging readers to “see with your heart.”
Her long-lost manuscript was rediscovered shortly after the passing of her beloved husband, Ron, who was her biggest cheerleader. His spirit lives on in every brushstroke and page. Phyllis reminds us that creativity does not retire, and it is never too late to begin something new – no matter your chapter!
