Modern Woodmen of America Continues to Pioneer Positive Futures
“Modern Woodmen has been committed to the common bonds of financial security, quality family life and community impact for 141 years,” remarks local representative Randy Miller, whose office is in Palm Desert. “It’s been an honor to serve our local community for 31 years.
“Modern Woodmen of America was founded in 1883. We have no lumberjacks or woodworking in our history,” he explains. “Our name comes from an old story about pioneer woodmen who cleared space in the forest to build homes, create communities and bring security to their loved ones. That metaphor helped illustrate our founder’s goal of clearing away financial burdens for families. He added ,”modern” to show we’d always adapt to meet the changing needs of those we serve. And ‘of America’ shows our love of country and support for the communities within it.”
Today, Modern Woodmen helps members plan for life with life insurance, retirement planning and financial services. Randy provides understandable financial guidance to help area residents achieve their financial goals.
