Sun City Palm Desert Performing Arts Club Presents Who Shot Manny Blueberg?

Roz Warren Heller, Playwright: Roz Warren Heller is a writer, lyricist, teacher, and hypnotherapist. She has been a Sun City Performing Arts Club member for over twenty years, which afforded her many opportunities to write and direct. Her first musical performed by the club was “Reunion,” inspired by her marriage of 22 years to her high school sweetheart, Edmund Heller, after a separation of 50 years. Other musicals she wrote include “Bach to Rock to Pop” and “The Celebration of American Music.” She appreciates the rewards of creating and living in the lovely Sun City Palm Desert community.

Elaine Montgomery, Director: Elaine Montgomery is relatively new to directing, having done stage management with the Sun City Performing Arts Club for the past ten years when she started wintering in Palm Desert. She is from Canada and enjoys being creative here in the desert.

Wayne Abravanel, Musical Director: Wayne Abravanel is a music teacher, composer, conductor, pianist, arranger, and musical director. He has worked with the Performing Arts Club for many years, helping to put together their musical shows. He lives in Indio (way out there!) and loves coming to the incredible Sun City Palm Desert to play with these talented people. A native of New York, he vows never to leave the valley again. He likes it here.

Judith Cameron, Choreographer: Judith Cameron has spent 31 years in the education field before joining the Sun City Palm Desert Performing Arts Club. She has starred as an actress, singer, and dancer. Her background as a teacher and experience as a line dance instructor both laid a solid foundation, upon which she also became a choreographer. She loves creating dance routines and guiding others to learn them. In the recent Sun City PD Performing Arts Club hit, “Showstoppers,” she choreographed such hits as “Cell Block Tango,” “Hey, Big Spender,” and “Boot Scootin’ Boogie.” She is passionate about theater.
