Tools For Tomorrow Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Tools For Tomorrow is celebrating 25 years of inspiring children through the arts. Founded in 1998 by Rachel Druten, Tools For Tomorrow provides free after-school arts literacy programs to students ages 8 to 11 throughout the Coachella Valley. Now serving 27 elementary schools, the enrichment program integrates art, creative writing, music, and theatre. Studies show that elementary school students participating in arts education programs are more engaged, improve their writing skills, and have fewer disciplinary problems.

Tools For Tomorrow seeks volunteers to assist classroom teachers in ensuring all students feel seen and help with special events, photography, videography, and office work. Supporters also may join VISIONARIES to assist in raising awareness and funds for Tools For Tomorrow.

“Celebrate Friendship!” is Tools For Tomorrow’s gala that will be held on February 26 at Agua Caliente Rancho Mirage. This magical event will honor community leader Joe Giarrusso. Emceeded by KESQ’s Patrick Evans and directed by Joyce Bulifant, the dinner concert will feature performances by Gilmore Rizzo, Francesca Amari, and TFT students.
