Sidney Bruhl played by: Don Savage

Don Savage, originally a Speech and Debate teacher in Burbank, California, brings a wealth of experience to the stage. His journey from mentoring a young actor named Ron Howard to a career in radio and later, acting and voiceover work, has now brought him to the Palm Springs area. This marks his fourth production with SCSH Performing Arts.

Myra Bruhl played by: Laurie de Gonzalez

Laurie de Gonzalez, an Oregon snowbird, discovered her passion for theater in her middle school years in Baltimore, Maryland. Her theatrical journey has come full circle as she joins the SCSH Performing Arts Club. Laurie has a storied history of performing in various theatrical productions and is currently working on writing a mystery musical farce.

Clifford Anderson played by: Earl Warner

Earl has been a valuable contributor to several club productions, both on and off the stage.

Helga ten Dorp played by: Suzy Voss

Suzy Voss, a retired international flight attendant, found her retirement haven in Sun City Shadow Hills. Her extensive background in theater from her time in the San Francisco area makes her a natural fit for the SCSH Performing Arts Club. Onstage, Suzy has exceeded her own expectations, and she also contributes her creative talents as a costumer for some of the club’s productions.

Porter Milgrim played by: Bill Hardwick

Bill Hardwick, a retired Episcopal priest, has returned to California with a lifelong love for theater instilled in him since attending his first Broadway show in high school. Acting and directing have been his lifelong avocation, and he feels fortunate to have found a welcoming home with the Performing Arts Club.

Set in October 1978 in a vintage house in Westport, Connecticut, “Deathtrap” unfolds in the home of the famous playwright Sidney Bruhl and his wife Myra. Sidney’s career has hit a dry spell, marked by failures and financial woes. However, his fortunes appear to change when he receives a potentially sensational script from a student, Clifford Anderson. What follows is a web of intrigue, collaboration, and unexpected appearances, including Sidney’s friend and lawyer, Porter Milgrim, and the eccentric psychic, Helga ten Dorp, with her wild predictions.
