Dear Readers,
With the desert’s hottest months on the horizon we want to say a heartfelt thank you to all the sponsors and advertisers of Sun City; without their support we could not connect or feature residents. This month’s featured resident is your neighbor Tom Stroud who has lived in Sun City for the last six years. Tom was nominated by Betty Ekmanian Smith who was on our cover April 2021. Tom has a contagious cheerful attitude and a fun endeavor he has undertaken in his semi-retirement.
Tom works part-time at a kiosk in Disneyland called Working to Give LLC, which strongly aligns with his positive disposition. Working To Give’s CEO Matthew Holguin knew Tom was the perfect fit to help run the kiosk and to quote Matthew, “The success of our company is not based on how much we make, but how much we are willing to give away.” Tom’s mission in life is to spread cheer, and there are many beneficial reasons why!
