Hydes Air Conditioning will donate $10 to the American Thyroid Association for every Hyde’s Family Comfort Plan Maintenance Agreement sold or renewed during September 2022.
September marks Hydes’ seventh year participating in Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month! This cause holds special meaning for the Hyde family, as Mark and Judy Hyde’s daughter, Shelby, started her cancer journey in 2016 and thyroid cancer recurrence in 2020. Hydes has raised $16,000 over the last six years to contribute to advances in thyroid cancer research.
This year, our goal is to donate $5,000 to the American Thyroid Association (ATA), a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing, understanding, preventing, diagnosing and treating thyroid disorders and cancer.
Thyroid Cancer first touched the Hyde Family in 2016 and has inspired our company to help spread the word that September is Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month. In her thyroid cancer journey, Shelby has faced many ongoing health issues but continues to have a positive attitude.
After her last surgery in September 2020, Shelby is cancer free. We are thankful for all the prayers, love and support from family and friends. “My faith walk and seven year cancer journey have taught me much about myself, while allowing me to share my story to encourage others to persevere and never to give up,” says Shelby.
