The Solar Initiative

Complimentary Breakfast & Education Session

Helen and Bill Baker were both born in upstate New York, met on a “blind date,” and married in 1975. They have two children and five grandchildren who all live in Southern California. After many years of running successful retail furniture stores, Bill retired in 2022 — but not from learning or teaching. His new mission is to educate homeowners about the solar industry and dispel the many myths that surround it.

Through his “Solar for the Home” training sessions, Bill offers a down-to-earth introduction to solar energy. Drawing from extensive personal research while installing solar for his own home in Sun City Shadow Hills, Bill combines technical insight with real-world experience. His sessions are designed to be interactive, encouraging open discussion and honest questions.

Bill focuses on facts, not sales. He helps attendees understand how solar works, the efficiency of SunPower panels, Tesla battery backups, realistic savings, and the true environmental benefits. With so much misinformation out there, his goal is to provide clarity and confidence for those exploring renewable energy.

Even after the session, Bill stays available to help participants review quotes or select equipment.

Join Bill every Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. for a complimentary “Solar for the Home” breakfast at the Shadow Hills restaurant. There’s no obligation, no purchase required — and absolutely no timeshare pitch.

To reserve your spot, text Bill at 760-486-0084.
