Get ready to laugh out loud as the Sun City Performing Arts Club presents Farce of Nature, a sidesplitting comedy penned by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten. Directed by our talented Susan Adler, this hilarious production promises an evening filled with southern charm, outrageous characters, mistaken identities, and nonstop humor.
The title says it all—Farce of Nature is a wild and witty ride you won’t want to miss. With its roots in southern-fried hilarity, the play offers a glimpse into one unforgettable day in the life of the eccentric Wilburn family of Mayhew, Arkansas.
A Lodge Full of Laughs
Set at the struggling fishing lodge, The Reel ’Em Inn, the Wilburns’ misadventures unfold against a backdrop of quirky characters and comedic chaos. Once a thriving getaway, the lodge is now a faded shadow of its former self. Determined to revive its glory days, the Wilburn family finds themselves embroiled in a whirlwind of mistaken identities, secrets, disguises, and even cross-dressing antics. Add to that a mysterious (and increasingly unpleasant) smell, and you’ve got the recipe for a laugh-out-loud romp.
In the interest of no spoilers, we’ll leave the chaotic and surprising climax a mystery. But trust us, you’ll want to mark your calendar to witness the hilarity unfold.
