After moving to Sun City Shadow Hills, this month’s Featured Residents Marcia and Howard Daniels joined Brandeis University Desert Chapter, leading them to some of their happiest years. Their volunteer commitments sparked newfound passions through literature, community involvement, TED talks and an abundance of diverse interest groups for both Marcia and Howard. As our Desert’s busy season gears up there are several events to look forward to. On October 29 Alzheimer’s Association is hosting their annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s; further details are on page 10. See page 8 and 9 to learn how you can experience incredible food, pastries, music, dancing and entertainment at this year’s Armenian Cultural Festival on November 13 and 14.
