Dear Readers,
December 2022 is a historical month for the Valley now that our very own Acrisure Arena is open! Many iconic bands and entertainers have already been booked well into 2023 and tickets are selling fast; for a listing of all events at Acrisure Arena see page 7. The Coachella Valley Firebirds’ first game here at home is on December 18th and one player already feels at home; defenseman Matt Tennyson’s grandparents and parents live in the Valley and are ecstatic to be reunited here through hockey. Our Featured Resident Terri Ann Burch is semi-retired from roles as the Department of Nursing Chair and Professor California State University San Bernardino and its Palm Desert Campus. Her love and commitment to help people in crucial stages of their life continues to be her passion. Read more about her story on page 22.
