Nate Lewis for Rancho Mirage City Council

Nate Lewis was raised right here in the Coachella Valley. He and his wife are proud to call Rancho Mirage home, where they feel fortunate to raise their two children in such a vibrant community. Like many of you, Nate was drawn back to the Coachella Valley after graduating from Dixie State University, where he was a scholarship athlete and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. The great quality of life, clean streets, low crime rates, and wonderful weather (for most of the year) made returning an easy choice.

Nate is pleased with how Rancho Mirage has been managed over the years and shares many of the values and vision of those who came before him. “I’m not seeking a seat on City Council to change everything,” says Lewis. “I want to build on the strong foundation we have while using my business experience and relationships to help Rancho Mirage advance in areas where we can improve or may be falling behind.”

Nate has a long history of community involvement. He served as Chairman of the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce and spent five years on the executive board, playing a key role in transforming the Chamber into what it is today. Before launching his own business, Goat Solar Inc., Nate held leadership positions as Chief Sales Officer and Chief Operations Officer at two of the largest local solar companies. His efforts helped create hundreds of local jobs and fostered deep ties within the community—connections that will be invaluable as Rancho Mirage looks to fill vacant buildings and attract new businesses.

Public safety and emergency services are at the top of Nate’s priorities, and he is committed to ensuring these essential services are fully funded for the benefit and safety of our residents. However, Nate’s vision doesn’t stop there. He believes that revitalizing vacant buildings can also help reduce crime, which has been on the rise. Additionally, Nate is passionate about investing in the youth of Rancho Mirage, knowing that today’s young people are the key to a bright future. Through his involvement in youth sports, Nate has mentored and encouraged kids to be better teammates, students, and individuals.
