Sun City Resident Mario Rossi debuts September 18th at Chef George’s Picasso Lounge

Mario Rossi is a self-made music mogul with many talents, having found his own unique place in the music world as a songwriter, arranger, composer, and producer. Originally from Orange County, Mario taught himself everything he knows and has achieved much along the way. After spending a quarter century touring and recording with various artists, he became a sought-after music producer, working on over 100 albums across different genres like Rock, Jazz, R&B, Folk, Classical, and Christian music.
Composition became Mario’s genuine passion. Soap opera enthusiasts may recognize his work, as he spent a decade weaving emotional depth into the narratives of All My Children, The Young and the Restless, and One Life to Live. Mario’s music became the unsung heartbeat of these beloved shows, guiding viewers through romantic entanglements, suspenseful moments, and sensational revelations with a symphony of sound that lingered long after the credits rolled. A serendipitous meeting in one venue where Mario was performing brought him a new fan in legendary record producer and composer David Foster. Their friendship blossomed into several collaborations, including co-writing a song for a Japanese artist that Foster was producing at the time.

Among these, Chef George’s Picasso Lounge in Bermuda Dunes holds a special place in his heart. “It has a very warm and friendly atmosphere and a separate cabaret-style performance room and stage for music. It’s the only place I’ve found in the desert that is music-specific. As Chef George’s reopens this month, Mario will perform in the Picasso Lounge on Wednesday, September 18th, from 6:00 to 9:00. Additional shows are scheduled for October 9th and October 23rd, where he’ll bring in some extraordinary singers and performers from L.A., making each performance a one-of-a-kind experience for desert audiences.
