The Rancho Mirage Writers Festival (RMWF) returns January 28–30, 2026, bringing three days of conversation, ideas, and remarkable storytelling to the Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory—one of the Coachella Valley’s true cultural treasures. Known nationally as “Coachella for the brain,” the festival is set within this renowned cultural destination, celebrated for presenting world-class speakers, acclaimed authors, and a diverse program of arts, science, and educational events. Due to overwhelming demand, tickets to this event sell out in minutes, so the RMWF is offering something special for those who couldn’t secure a seat or may be traveling out of town. Most of the 2026 Rancho Mirage Writers Festival will be live-streamed, giving readers everywhere a frontrow experience with no ticket required. We encourage everyone to tune in and be part of it. Visit rmwritersfest.org/stream for schedules and access.

The 2026 lineup is nothing short of extraordinary. Acclaimed novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie will join bestselling crime author Michael Connelly and modern stoic writer Ryan Holiday. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will offer an inside look at today’s political landscape, while celebrated novelist Rachel Kushner brings her signature depth and precision.

The festival also welcomes narrative historian Erik Larson, bestselling novelist Taylor Jenkins Reid, and Andrew Ross Sorkin, the journalist and financial commentator known for his sharp analysis of Wall Street and global markets.
