On our front cover is longtime Sun City resident Bob Kramer, decided to take action after witnessing neighbors struggle to recover without the right medical equipment. What began with a borrowed pair of crutches has now grown into Caring Crutches, a nonprofit that provides walkers, wheelchairs, shower chairs, and more to residents across all the Del Webb communities.
Run by Bob and his partner and Treasurer Susan Dubbs, the program is built on the simple idea of neighbors helping neighbors. With a $40 annual membership, residents can borrow essential medical equipment for up to 60 days, while canes and crutches remain completely free, no membership required. This inspiring cover story highlights the impact of one small idea, the power of community, and how a bit of kindness can go a long way in supporting those on the road to recovery, read more on pages 22 and 24.
