I’m sure by now that a lot of you have seen the caption of a bathroom shower with a corner shelf holding an array of alcoholic beverages. Under the caption it reads, “My doctor advised me to install a bar in my shower.” That caption made me laugh especially hard as I happen to be the guy who installs bars in showers!
No, not that kind, the safety kind! You may already know me by now. My name is Jack Jones and I am the owner/ installer of Handi-Bars, which will soon be celebrating its eighteenth year of business in the Coachella Valley.
I am connected with many companies in the Valley including At Home Medical, Eisenhower After Care and Desert Oasis Health Care, as well as many visiting nurses. My previous background was in the tile and stone business as owner/ installer of Jack Jones Ceramic Tile & Stone so the transition to the grab bar business was a seamless one for me.
My only regret is that I didn’t start the grab bar business sooner as it is very rewarding to know that I have given confidence to people that just want to move about their home, be it in the tub, shower, toilet area, or just about anywhere in the home where balance is an issue.
