within the body, Dunn went to a breathwork class to see about adding it to her toolbox of modalities. When she walked out of that seminar, it was as if a voice was speaking to her: ‘This is what you are supposed to do.’
“My philosophy is that different organs govern specific emotions, and we can’t navigate through life without experiencing some sort of trauma or negative experience that triggers an emotional response within us,” explained Dunn. “If we suppress these emotions in our bodies, they will eventually become an ailment because you tax that organ and meridian system. After doing breathwork but before becoming certified, I found through my journey that various areas of discomfort in my body were alleviated. I was more at peace and had clearer boundaries with family.”
In 2021, Dunn became a certified Breathwork Facilitator. To put a spin on breathwork and make it immersive, Dunn has incorporated the silent headphones you wear so that you can only hear the music and positive words of encouragement that she is speaking. After leading breathwork sessions countless times, Dunn has witnessed people experiencing relief from stress, anxiety, and depression through breathwork. Other benefits from breathwork therapy include a boost in mental clarity and focus, enhanced immunity, increased energy levels, and improved digestion and sleep quality.
Dunn teaches a class at a yoga studio weekly and at Del Webb Rancho Mirage monthly, incorporating breathwork and energy medicine. She also offers Zoom classes for those who prefer to be in the comfort of their homes.
Balance is essential in Dunn’s personal life, as well. She loves to travel, hike, spend quality time with her husband and friends, and play with her two doodle dogs. “To help people live a happy, healthy, authentic life means so much to me. I’m following my heart to serve others,” added Dunn.
