Your host Willie Rhine and general manager Veronica Cavazos welcome you to Willie’s Modern Fare, located in the spot formerly occupied by Marie Callender’s and, most recently, Bernie’s Supper Club at the corner of Hwy. 111 and Frank Sinatra. Willie’s Modern Fare offers both the elegance of fine dining and the warm relaxing feeling of a friendly neighborhood spot.
Guests are invited to savor classic cuisine with a modern twist, along with creative cocktails and a carefully curated wine list. Enjoy dinner and drinks in one of the fine dining rooms, on the expansive outdoor patio, or in the casual lounge. Preparing for the slower summer season, starting June 1st Willie introduced the summer hours and summer savings. Willie’s Modern Fare will be open nightly at 5:00 PM Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Executive Chef Richard Perez and Sous Chef Oscar Barreras have introduced a limited summer menu and a discounted 3 course summer prefix for $49 per person. The pre-fix menu includes some favorites such as a Spanish chilled gazpacho, their classic wedge, Atlantic salmon, pork Schnitzel, grilled chicken and their delicious vegetable Farotto.
One must save room for dessert which includes chocolate brownie sundae or butterscotch pudding, just to name a few. Rhine, who co-owns EIGHT4NINE Restaurant & Lounge and 1501 Uptown Gastro Pub, both located in Palm Springs, is proud of being a resident in the Coachella Valley for almost 35 years. Having more than 25 years in the hospitality industry, Rhine is very involved within the community, supporting and giving to many charities whenever the opportunity arises.
Most recently, because of the love of his adopted pet Ali, he realized that there was a shortage of veterinarians in the valley, and he has helped raise much needed funds for Amy’s Purpose, which is an education 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to providing funds for local student scholarship, and veterinary assistance scholarships to help rectify the current emergency veterinarian care crisis. Amy’s Purpose is holding a Fashion Show Luncheon on Thursday, October 12 at Agua Caliente where they are honoring Willie Rhine and his baby girl Ali. Dining at Willie’s is proud to be one of Rancho Mirage’s finest restaurants.
