With the desert summer on the horizon, we celebrate you and all residents who make the valley their home year-round, even during the hottest months ahead. With that in mind, the Sun City Insider is a platform for the community to connect with fellow neighbors and businesses, and to promote enduring community spirit.
This month we are featuring fellow Sun City resident David E. (Dave) Martin, Director of Wellness at Best Pain Care Centers. Dave shared his journey managing diabetes and the chronic pain that he has experienced from a condition called peripheral neuropathy. This pain is caused by damage to the peripheral nerves, those that are located outside of the brain and spinal cord. Dave is not alone; as many as one out of every two people who are diabetic or who have sustained injuries develop peripheral neuropathy. Once Dave found a program offering relief, he engaged with licensed medical professionals and established “Best Pain Care Centers” to provide needed and well-deserved relief for anyone with chronic pain.
