Desert TheatreWorks [DTW], a nonprofit theatre company in Indio, was organized to benefit members of the community by providing education, entertainment and exposure to cultural experiences for both residents and visitors to the Coachella Valley. DTW strives to present imaginative, innovative and entertaining plays and musicals for the entire community. In addition, the performers, musicians, designers, stage crew and volunteers are all members of the Coachella Valley. DTW is a true community theatre!
Desert TheatreWorks makes their home in the Indio Performing Arts Center which holds a 200-seat Main Stage Theatre, a 127-seat Playhouse Theatre, and a new 127-seat Black Box Theatre. DTW has another 127-seat Cabaret theatre planned to open at a future date.
