It’s no coincidence that two Of the busiest and most successful restaurants in Palm Springs happen to be overseen by the same Willie Rhine. Rhine and co-owner John Pascal opened EIGHT4NlNE Restaurant& Lounge in the Uptown Design District in 2015. After a huge media frenzy 849 quickly became a staple in the Palm Springs dining scene.
In 2020, despite the worst global pandemic ever, Rhine partnered with Chef/Owner Chad Gardner and opened 1501 Uptown Gastropub; both1501 and 849 became favorites for locals and tourists alike.
Having built a reputation for great food and incredible service while reaping the joys and success of two ventures, in 2022 at the end of the pandemic the duo decided to move East and open Willie’s Modern Fare in Rancho Mirage.
