Three Restaurants, Two Cities, One Vision

It’s no coincidence that two Of the busiest and most successful restaurants in Palm Springs happen to be overseen by the same Willie Rhine. Rhine and co-owner John Pascal opened EIGHT4NlNE Restaurant& Lounge in the Uptown Design District in 2015. After a huge media frenzy 849 quickly became a staple in the Palm Springs dining scene.

In 2020, despite the worst global pandemic ever, Rhine partnered with Chef/Owner Chad Gardner and opened 1501 Uptown Gastropub; both1501 and 849 became favorites for locals and tourists alike.

Having built a reputation for great food and incredible service while reaping the joys and success of two ventures, in 2022 at the end of the pandemic the duo decided to move East and open Willie’s Modern Fare in Rancho Mirage.

Located in the spot formerly occupied by Bernie’s Supper Club at the corner of Highway 111 and Frank Sinatra Drive, Willie’s Modern Fare Offers both the elegance Of fine dining and the warm, relaxing feel of a friendly neighborhood spot.

The team at Willie’s invites guests to savor classic cuisine with a modern twist, along with creative cocktails and a carefully curated wine list. Enjoy dinner and drinks in one of the fine dining rooms, on the expansive outdoor patio, or in the casual lounge. Willie’s Modern Fare opens nightly at 5pm, (except for Mondays) and serves Sunday brunch at 11 am.

The exceptional cuisine created by Richard Perez and Oscar Barajas includes some favorites such as trio of soup, tomato tartar, Loch Duart salmon, breast of duck, rack of lamb, and rabbit.
