Desert Theatricals, in partnership with the City of Rancho Mirage, is back for another entertaining season of Broadway musicals under the stars. The season kicks off with the youth program production of ALADDIN, Jr. November 19 & 20, 2022 followed by the annual Christmas show on December 10, 2022. This year’s theme is HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS featuring memorable cast members from the 2022 season.
The 2023 Broadway Musical Series opens with Rodgers & Hammerstein’s SOUTH PACIFIC on February 17 – 19, followed by Disney’s BEAUTY & THE BEAST on March 17 – 19 and finishes up the season on April 14 -16 with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT.
With beautiful sets, projections, costumes and a top notch cast of local and regional professionals, Desert Theatricals is recognized as one of the best professional theatres in the Coachella Valley. Ticket sales begin October 1, 2022, with an option to purchase general admission tickets or dinner theatre tables of 4 or 6 people with full three-course dinner service. Desert Theatricals has over 20 Desert Theatre League nominations and wins for “Best In” categories for professional musical including, direction, choreography, musical direction, and actors.
Past productions include: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Annie Get Your Gun, Mamma Mia, Anything Goes, A Big Band Christmas, It’s A Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol. Their youth theatre programs include Seussical, The Little Mermaid, and James and the Giant Peach. Cabaret nights have included Sinatra Forever, Broadway’s Valerie Perri (Evita), David Burnham (Wicked) and more!

The extraordinary partnership with the City of Rancho Mirage has created a collaboration that continues to grow. The programming continues to expand as they present amazing entertainment here at the beautiful Rancho Mirage Amphitheater. Upgrades to the facility will break ground in May of 2023 and be revealed in November of 2023 with a brand-new season leading into 2024 recognizing the 50th anniversary of the City.
