Coachella Valley Repertory is the place to go during these sultry days of summer for the coolest music and entertainment around. The 2023 Summer Cabaret Series continues through August In the intimate, air-conditioned oasis of the CVRep theater. The July through August line-up includes the sensational Flamenco Company Miguel Bernal (July 13), ‘Tenor of the Americas’ Maximo Marcuso (July 20), Broadway star and award-winning recording artist Christia Mantzke (July 27); master storyteller Glenn Rosenblum with Broadway guest artists in Broadway Showstoppers (August 3); Broadway, opera and concert star Lisa Vroman, who is acclaimed for her Broadway and Los Angeles performances as Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera (August 10); West End and Broadway heartthrob Mark Evans (August 17); and debuting their Heart Healthy Trio are standouts from CVRep’s production of ONCE: Molly Coyne, Eileen Doan and Trevor Lindley Craft (August 24).
The trio entertained in the lobby before each performance, nearly stealing the show even before the curtain went up! The magic of cabaret is the connection between artists and audiences. They blend beloved songs, dance and engaging storytelling. It’s like being at a private soiree with the performers as your hosts and the audience as your family and friends.
